3 Kinds of Trees and People, Part 1 of 3
There are three kinds of trees and three kinds of people. This realization came to me when I looked out the window before a meeting last fall. I took this picture—which has all three types—to remind me.
I’ll talk about the trees here, and you can figure out the people side of this on your own.
The first kind of tree/people is Evergreen. Pines, Cedars, Spruces, etc. These are the kind that light up at Christmas time. They look healthier than all the others during the fall and winter (even if they aren’t).
Now some, like the Holly or Leatherleaf Mahonia are prickly all the time. Prickly all year—even though they are green and sometimes have beautiful flowers and fruit.
Evergreens steadily grow new leaves and shed old ones—no matter what the season. They are the tortoises of the tree world... not too fast, but faithful to the finish line.
Tomorrow: The second kind of tree/people.
