Best Party Favor Ever!
In re-reading my entry from yesterday, I realized that I skewed my thoughts a little too much toward slamming the guy I encountered at the Harris Teeter. Sorry man. What I really wanted to emphasize was the fact that I know my wife well after 26 years of dating. It was on the drive home from HT that I thought about how all the little things I know about her are what make life more fulfilling together. I think back to my Aunt and Uncle’s 50th Anniversary celebration a couple of years ago. They gave away the table arrangements at the end of the night, and my wife got one. It was a wonderful square container filled with beautiful hydrangeas. On the way to the car, she said, “This is the best party favor EVER!”
She got her Master Gardener certificate last year. She astounds me with her knowledge of plants and flowers. I love that I know how much she adores hydrangeas. . .so much so that my sweet, docile wife is ready to make venison jerky out of the deer that daily come through the front yard. Now, I love deer. I love taking pictures of the fawns that are literally born in the back yard. But I love my wife more. Who’s hungry? :) JK. JK.
By the way... best party favor I ever walked out with? It was the ring that she gave me on our wedding day.
