So... You think YOU had a bad day?
Sometimes, all it takes to change your disposition is a dose of perspective.
I was driving up to Blowing Rock Tuesday morning to speak at a 7:30AM gathering, and the fog set in on Hwy. 321. Then I hit a construction zone. This was followed by a truck going waaaaaay under the speed limit.
I thought I was having a bad start to the day.
Then I got closer and saw the truck and its contents. . . chickens.
These were not Roodoodles chickens—with which I am much more familiar, and they did not look like they were on their way to the “free range” if you know what I mean.
And I thought. . . I’m having a GREAT day! I love me some traffic and fog—both of which cleared up and out, by the way, as they always do.
A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired. Proverbs 17:22 (The Message)
A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day. Proverbs 15:13 (The Message)
